Your Contact Lens Exam: What to Expect

Unlike glasses, contacts rest directly on your eyes, so getting the right fit requires a little extra care and attention—and that’s what we’re here to provide.

During your exam, we’ll take precise measurements of your cornea curvature, check your tear film for comfort, and help you find the right lens features to match your lifestyle.

This is all about you—your comfort, vision, and confidence.

Finding The Right Contact Lens for You

We know everyone’s eyes are unique, and the right contact lenses can make a big difference in your vision and comfort.

Whether you’re managing an eye condition like keratoconus or multifocal/monovision lenses fitted for presbyopia, we have options for you. From disposable lenses that simplify your hygiene routine to ortho-k lenses for kids’ myopia management, we’ve got you covered.

We also offer lenses with features like a reading boost for near vision and anti-fatigue technology to reduce eye strain.

Your eye health matters to us. Let’s find lenses that keep your vision clear and your eyes comfortable—all day, every day.

Daily disposable lenses are designed for single use and are discarded at the end of each day. A fresh, new pair is used the following day.

Daily disposables offer convenience and minimize the buildup of deposits and allergens, benefiting individuals with allergies or sensitive eyes. We can even improve your near vision with multifocal lenses to get rid of those Readers! Soft contact lenses can correct nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia) and astigmatism!

Rigid gas-permeable (RGP) lenses, commonly called hard lenses, are crafted from a firm, durable plastic designed to allow oxygen to reach the cornea. Known for delivering sharp, clear vision, they are often the ideal choice for people with specific corneal conditions, such as keratoconus or those requiring significant vision correction.

RGPs can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and complex prescriptions.

Scleral lenses are large-diameter lenses that vault over the cornea and rest on the sclera (the white part of the eye). This shape creates a fluid reservoir, enhancing comfort and vision.

Scleral lenses can benefit people with irregular corneas (e.g., keratoconus, post-LASIK ectasia), severe dry eye, or conditions where standard lenses don’t work effectively. Scleral lenses can be customized to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

Toric lenses are specifically designed to correct astigmatism, a refractive error that causes blurred or distorted vision due to an irregularly shaped cornea. These lenses have different powers in different meridians to compensate for the astigmatism, providing clear and comfortable vision.

Toric lenses are now available in single-use soft lenses and rigid materials.

Orthokeratology (ortho-k) is a myopia management method using rigid gas-permeable lenses worn overnight. While you sleep, the lenses gently reshape the cornea, helping you see clearly during the day without glasses or contacts. The effects are temporary, requiring regular overnight wear to maintain clear vision.

Ortho-k is a good option for active individuals with nearsightedness (myopia), particularly kids and teens.

Hybrid lenses combine the benefits of soft and RGP lenses. They feature a rigid gas-permeable center for sharper vision correction and a soft skirt around the edges for enhanced comfort.

Hybrid lenses are a good option for individuals who need the clarity of an RGP lens, but find traditional RGPs uncomfortable. They can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and some corneal irregularities.

Multifocal lenses contain multiple prescriptions in a single lens, allowing clearer vision at all distances—near, intermediate, and far. Bifocals and multifocals are popular choices for people with presbyopia, an age-related condition that makes it difficult to focus on close objects.

Multifocal lenses are available in soft and RGP materials and can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and presbyopia.
